It’s all go at CloudfreeIT!
This is the busiest week we’ve had in months (if not ever!). The workshop is really bustling. There’s plenty of on-site PC and server implementation jobs scheduled for the next 3-4 weeks too. It’s brilliant!
Our marvellous Estonian part-time customer services administrator, Haldi, left us in mid-January to go ‘full time’ at the Butterfly Rooms in Saltaire to provide maternity leave cover. It feels like Jenny’s been on her maternity leave for forever too, so we’re missing both of them terribly, but actually we’re not all that worried anymore! Tracy has settled in well and will be switching from ‘Temp to Perm’ week after next. She’s proving wonderful at keeping those all important cogs turning for us (and she brings marshmallows and nice biccies, mmmm!). Our customers think she’s fab and she keeps the younger techs in line, so all good there!
We’ve got a new recruit in our Service Centre this week. Here’s a very ‘warm and cuddly CloudfreeIT welcome’ to Joe Butterworth. He’s settling in very nicely after only three days (a bit of a ‘baptism of fire’ this week for him though!). If it wasn’t for the fact that Joe’s younger brother, Jack, is currently over in Liverpool working on a big software rollout project for one of our large corporate customers it could get a bit confusing for some us! They do sound very similar. They look quite similar too. They’ve got the same initials. Might have to dress them in different coloured shirts when the big rollout job is finished!
We have another new member of staff joining our growing tech team next week too! Another female techie at last! Shell’s been feeling very outnumbered for years, so having another ‘lady-tech’ about the place will be very welcome indeed as they are still quite a ‘rare breed’!
And finally…
We’ve bought our first ever ultra-economical and ultra-low emissions ‘CloudfreeIT car’ for the technicians to use if they need to visit the homes and business premises of our customers to give on-site support (which isn’t all that often as we give such good remote support). In a few weeks it’ll have our logo and contact details plastered all over it, so do look out for it nipping around Keighley and the Worth & Aire Valleys!
Welcome on board, Julie & Joe!
We’ve got two new recruits to the CloudfreeIT team! Joe Butterworth (elder brother of Jack) joins us as our new Service Centre Apprentice Technician and will be studying at Leeds City College on the IT…
